Tammie “Punkinâ€쳌 Sager Gareis, 33, of Washington, died on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 11:32 p.m., at the Washington Hospital, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born on September 18, 1973, in Washington, a daughter of Cheryl Wigner Sager, of Washington, and the late Thomas Gary Sager.
Ms. Gareis worked as a server/waitress at the Lindenwood Country Club for 8 years. She also worked part-time at Gabby Inn.
Ms. Gareis was an avid Steeler fan, and she loved gardening and animals, especially horses. She was a member of the Taylorstown American Legion, the Eagles Lodge 687 and the Loyal Order of Moose 22.
Ms. Gareis attended McGuffey High School.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are 2 daughters, Courtney Sager and Autumn Pliska, both living at home; 2 brothers, Kenneth Hilderbrand, of Washington and Timothy Hilderbrand, of Kirby; and a sister, Kelli Ackley, of Washington.
Deceased are a maternal grandmother, Sarah Holland, and a paternal grandmother, Anna Sager.
Friends will be received on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray, PA.
