Gerald Lee Snyder, 66, of Avella, died unexpectedly at 4:46 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008, in Washington Hospital.
He was born February 19, 1941, in Washington, a son of Arthur and Charlotte Hair Snyder.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Snyder was employed as a truck driver for the state Department of Transportation for 16 years.
He enjoyed woodworking and hunting.
On October 13, 1988, he married Bonnie Keyton, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Scott (Karen) Snyder of McMurray, Raymond (Toni) Snyder of Washington and Dean (Brenda) Snyder of Claysville; a stepson, Rick Kuhn of Columbus, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Lori (Bob) Kuhn of Washington; a brother, Arthur Snyder of Washington; four sisters, Dale Mangion of Washington, Darlene Pull of Michigan, Bonnie Pattress of Washington and Connie Withrow of West Virginia; four grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, with the Rev. Fred McCloskey officiating.
