Wanda Catherine Korowicki

Wanda Catherine Korowicki, 101, of Washington, died at 2:25 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2008, in Humbert Lane. She had been in declining health for two years. She was born July 12, 1906, in Washington County, a daughter of Joseph and Katherine Florick Yamrog. Mrs. Korowicki was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church for several years. For more than 25 years, she was a housekeeper at Washington County Court House. She enjoyed Pirates Baseball and her grandchildren. On August 10, 1929, she married Stanley Korowicki, who died July 25, 1983. Surviving are three sons, Leo (Marge) Korowicki, Casimier (Jessie) Korowicki, and Robert (Winnie) Korowicki, all of Washington; 10 grandchildren, Patricia Casper, Edward (Vicky) Korowicki, Denise (Jeff) Tracey, Casimier (Gerri) Korowicki, Eva (Andrew) Kelly, Karen Korowicki, Lisa (Sid) Manning, Rachel Korowicki, Joyce Clemens, and Mary Beth Korowicki; 13 great grandchildren, Jason, Kristen, Alissa, Joe, Mark, Maggie, Tara, Colt, C.J., Jared, Chris, Matt, and Coleen; a great great grandchild, Cameron, and several nieces and nephews, including Stella and Viola. Deceased is a grandchild, William Korowicki, two sisters, Nellie Lyseck, and Josie Borkowski and a brother, Walter Emrock. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2008, with Father Thomas D. O’Neil officiating. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
