Richard Steven MacKinney, 68, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008, in Donnell House. He had been ill since June.
He was born May 8, 1940, in Washington, a son of James Maynard “Paul” MacKinney and Elizabeth Park Boyd MacKinney.
Mr. MacKinney was a 1958 graduate of Trinity High School. For 31 years, he was a service representative for Cameron Coca-Cola.
He was a member of Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion, Pulaski Club, Polish Club and Arms Club and was a lifetime member of National Rifle Association.
Mr. MacKinney enjoyed hunting and was a fan of NASCAR and Pittsburgh area sports teams.
On September 2, 1967, he married Louise Ealy, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James Kevin MacKinney and Scott Allan MacKinney, both of Washington; one brother, Robert MacKinney of Washington; a sister, Karen Naris of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and three grandchildren, James Anthony MacKinney, Kevin Austin MacKinney and Grayson Kenley Wallace.
Friends will be received 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 24th. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, East Finley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Donnell House, Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
