Margaret Elizabeth Hunter

Nursing instructor at Washington Hospital. Margaret Elizabeth (Betty) Hunter, 68, of Washington, died Tuesday, September 6, 2005, from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was born April 2, 1937, in Prosperity, a daughter of Marion and Margaret Inghram McClain. Mrs. Hunter attended Morris Township schools and was a 1955 graduate of Trinity High School. In 1958, she graduated from Washington Hospital School of Nursing and in 1980 received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from West Liberty (W.Va.) College. She was employed as a clinical instructor at Washington Hospital School of Nursing, as an industrial nurse at Washington Steel and Allegheny Ludlum and as a visiting nurse. On November 21, 1970, she married Samuel Joseph Hunter, who died September 25, 1996. Surviving are cousins Charles Inghram of Fort Collins, Colo., Janice Inghram Morris of Rogers, Ark., Jean McClain Gieb, Marion Earl McClain and James McClain, all of Cordova, Md., Geraldine Pattison and Shirley Plants, both of Claysville, Phyllis Whitey of Florida and Nora Mansfield of Washington. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 10, with the Rev. George Plants officiating. Burial will follow in West Alexander Cemetery.
