Geraldine Grace Nixon, 83, of Washington, died Wednesday, September 7, 2005, in Donnell House, Washington. She had been ill since February 2004.
She was born June 8, 1922, in Washington, a daughter of Wylie James and Mary Agnes Beddow Murray.
For 171/2 years, Mrs. Nixon was employed in the housekeeping department at Washington Hospital.
She was a member of Fairhill Manor Christian Church.
Mrs. Nixon enjoyed cooking and cleaning.
Her husband, Walter Leroy Nixon Sr., is deceased.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deceased are two sons, Walter L. Nixon Jr. and David William Nixon; a brother, David W. Murray; and a sister, Mildred M. Gamber.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 9, with the Rev. Mary Sprowls officiating.
