Catherine (Kay) Montgomery, 80, of Washington, died at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, December 17, 2006, in her home. She had been ill since August.
She was born October 16, 1926, in Clarksville, a daughter of George and Mary Nestor DeClair.
Mrs. Montgomery worked as a nurses assistant for 22 years at the Washington Hospital.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was Catholic by faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie (William) Winowitch of Baltimore, Maryland, and Barbara (Albert) Thomas of Eighty-Four; two brothers, Joseph DeClair of Mesa, Arizona, and Frank DeClair of West Mifflin; three sisters, Margaret Hostovich of West Mifflin, Lucille Cole of Washington and Emily Holder of Avella; four grandchildren, Michele Winowitch, Melissa Petrisek, Albert Thomas, Jr., and Patricia Thomas; and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Duane Montgomery; three brothers, George, John and Steve; and a sister, Frances.
Friends will be received 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 21, 2006, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hills Cemetery, Ten Mile. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 357 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301.
