Geraldine L. Piatt

Geraldine Little Piatt, 82, of Washington, died Thursday, October 2, 2008, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, following a lengthy illness. She was born June 26, 1926, in Littleton, West Virginia, a daughter of Arthur William and Frances Poland Little. Mrs. Piatt graduated from Trinity High School in 1945, and had worked as a selector-packer at Brockway #7. She was a member of Upper Buffalo Presbyterian Church, L.O.O.M #22, the Arms Club, Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 American Legion Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society. Surviving are two daughters, Geraldine (Joe) Jefferys of Buffalo Village and Diana (Gary) Openbrier of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter-in-law, Pauline Smith of Bradenton, Florida; seven grandchildren, Barbara, Kelly, Eric, Kelly Jo, Wayne, Jerry, and Christine; and three great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Bobbi Ann and Jared. Deceased are two sons, Frank and Jerry Openbrier. There will be no public visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to Avis Arbor, 84 West Wheeling Street, Washington PA 15301.
