Raymond T. Wilhelm

Raymond T. Wilhelm, 86, of Washington, formerly of Brookline, died at 6:45 p.m., Thursday, February 3, 2005, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington. He had been ill since October, 2004. He was born July 3, 1918, in Pittsburgh, a son of John Charles and Rosalia Dusch Wilhelm. Mr. Wilhelm was the owner of Harris-Lawrence Insurance Co., Pittsburgh, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington. Mr. Wilhelm was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the European Theater during World War II. While serving his country, he earned the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. On July 17, 1947, he married Helen Schaub, who died September 13, 1990. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Maureen Wilhelm, of Washington; three grandchildren, Christopher Wilhelm and Jennifer Wilhelm, both of Canonsburg, and Amy Wilhelm of Raleigh, NC; a niece, Tina Howes, of Bedford; and a nephew, Ray Monahan, of Pittsburgh. Deceased are a son, Raymond Paul Wilhelm,; two brothers, Charles and Ralph Wilhelm; and one sister, Irma Monahan. Friends and family of Raymond T. Wilhelm of Washington, who died Thursday, February 3, 2005, will be received Sunday, February 6, from 2 till 7 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, February 7, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, with Father William Feeney as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
