James Leonard Jackson, Sr., 70, of Washington, died on Thursday, September 1, 2005, at Kade’s Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was born on April 23, 1935, in Washington, PA, a son of Wayne and Ruth Henderson Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was employed for 15 years at Hazel Atlas #2 and for 11 years at Spang Industries (Ft. Bridge Works). He then worked at Tri-State Engineering, and the Canton Township Road Department, and on to Canonsburg Metal for 10 years. He retired after working for 11 years at Village Management in Cleveland, Oh.
He attended Washington High School.
On July 9, 1954, he married Rose Marie Fritz, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Phyllis Sue Wood, of Aurora, OH; 2 brothers, Eugene and Randy Jackson, both of Washington, PA; 2 sisters, Patty Wise of Taylorstown, PA and Peggy Naser of Washington, PA; 3 grandchildren, James Robert and Nicole Jackson and Edward Piatt.
Deceased are 2 sons, Carl William Jackson and James L. Jackson, Jr.; a brother, Terry Jackson and a sister, Nancy Napolitan
