Evelyn Ivyjane Harps, 63, of Washington, died at 12:40 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2005, in Washington Hospital.
She was born May 17, 1941, in Washington County, a daughter of John and Martha Campbell Gallo.
Mrs. Harps was a certified nurse's assistant who worked in hospitals, as well as private duty.
She was Baptist and enjoyed reading and working puzzles.
On December 31, 1987, she married Russell Wayne Harps Sr., who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Charles Patrick (Nelda) Williams Jr. of Bonifay, Fla., Michael Anthony (Carol) Williams of Parkersburg, W.Va., and John Thomas Williams of Washington; a stepson, Russell Wayne Harps Jr. of Washington; two daughters, Tina (Michael) Thorn of Thornton, W.Va., and Denise (Richard) McCallister of Panama City, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Lisa Jo Harps of the state of Indiana; three brothers, Frank Gallo of Canonsburg, George Gallo of Library and Robert Gallo of Pontiac, Mich.; three sisters, Alma Jackson of Amity, Joyce Babirad of Scenery Hill and Viona Wilkes of Washington; and 19 grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Andrew Williams; and six brothers, Thomas, Charles, Clancey, Terry, Alvin and Ellsworth Gallo.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 7, with the Rev. Donald Waltermyer officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
