Georgia L. Crouser, 92, of Washington, died at 4:40 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2005 at Presbyterian Medical Center. She had been in declining health for several years. She was born on August 13, 1912 in Littleton, WV, a daughter of Albert and Mary F. Courtwright Shuman.
Mrs. Crouser was a homemaker. She was also a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 American Legion.
On March 17, 1934, she married Dale A. Crouser, who died on April 26, 1973. Surviving are a son, William (Lorea Jean) Colvin, of Washington, PA; a daughter, Betty Ayre of Washington, PA; a brother, Lewis Franklin Shuman of Washington, PA; a sister, Juanita McCutcheon of Claysville, PA; 5 grandchildren, Alfred and William Leonard, John Colvin, Randy Dicks and Becky Foresthe; 11 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a daughter, Thelma L. Leonard, a grandson, Eddie D’Alessandro, a brother, Junior Shuman, and 4 sisters, Dorothy Toland, Mary Louise Trefnoff, Helen Dalrymple and Wilda Loar.
Friends of the family of Georgia L. Crouser, who died Monday, January 31, 2005, will be received on Wednesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd.; 395 East Maiden St, Washington, PA, where services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Oakmont Cemetery in Waynesburg, PA.
