David Ray Lindsay, 57, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 20, 2008, in his residence.
He was born April 5, 1949, in Washington, a son of the late Glenn and Marian Laird Lindsay.
Mr. Lindsay was a graduate of McGuffey High School and worked at Penn Mould as a mould maker.
He enjoyed camping, golfing and working on his computer.
Mr. Lindsay was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from April 23, 1968, until his honorable discharge as a Specialist-4 on April 22, 1970. His military awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device, Expert Badge with M-14 Rifle, and First Class Hand Grenade Bar.
On February 14, 1997, he married Deborah Kirschner, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael Lindsay and Steven Lindsay, both of Washington; three daughters, Dana Garetson of Waynesburg, Tina Ruble of Georgia and Isadore Martini of Washington; one brother, Donald (Karen) Lindsay of Washington; ten step-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; and two nieces, Laura (Joseph) McNeil and Jennifer (Gregory) Zuk.
Friends will be received Sunday, February 24, 2008, from 3 till 6 p.m., the hour of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Merle Timko officiating.
