Blanche Stella Zediker

Owner of West Alexander restaurant and gas station. Blanche Stella Zediker, 84, of Washington, died Tuesday, January 25, 2005, in Presbyterian Senior Home, Washington, after a lengthy illness. She was born February 12, 1920, in Taylorstown, a daughter of Ella Blanche Moore. Mrs. Zediker was the owner and operator of Crossroads Restaurant and Gas Station in West Alexander for five years and formerly owned Zediker Snack Bar on Route 519. She was a member of Westside Independent Baptist Church in Brooksville, Florida. In 1952, she married Joseph Zediker, who died in November 1980. Surviving are two sons, William L. Keener of Parma, Ohio, and Douglas Zediker of National Park, N.J.; four daughters, Joy A. Vensel and Blanche Hull, both of Washington, Norma Jean Delsignore of Claysville and Shirley Zediker; and several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Deceased are three sons, Warren, Ralph and Joseph Zediker; and a brother, James Sherman Moore. There will be no visitation or service. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Covenant Christian Church, P.O. Box 258, Belle Vernon, PA 15012.
