Betty "Sis" Louise Keener, 75, of Washington, died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 19, 2008, in Washington Hospital.
She was born May 26, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of Lester and Olive Mae Rodgers Allen.
Mrs. Keener was Protestant and a homemaker.
She enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles, writing poems and spending time with her grandchildren.
On February 7, 1952, she married James W. Keener, who died April 11, 1998.
Surviving are three sons, James D. "Bimbo" (Glenny) Keener, Daniel W. (Charlotte) Keener and David R. Keener; a daughter, Dawn M. Keener; two brothers, James E. (Ella Mae) Allen and Jerry W. (Judy) Allen; a sister, Norma Jean Allen Young; four grandchildren, Heather Keener, Daniel W. Keener Jr., David R. Keener Jr. and Nichole Keener; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Crawford, Chole Crowe and Dylin Keener.
Deceased are a daughter, Cindy Lou Keener; and four brothers, William, George, Robert and Charles.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 23, with Daniel W. Keener officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
