Member of Church of the Covenant, Washington Reva Darlene Simpson, 85, of Washington, died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2004, in Washington Hospital, following a month-and-a-half illness. She was born February 14, 1919, in Smithshire, Ill., a daughter of Corwin and Mabel Crookham Reynolds. Mrs. Simpson was a member of Church of the Covenant, Washington. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and playing bridge. Mrs. Simpson was a supporter of Brownson House and the LeMoyne House. She was a graduate of Kirkwood (Ill.) High School and attended Iowa State College. On July 29, 1939, she married Robert Ralph Simpson, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert Reynolds Simpson of Livermore, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara Reva Reintgen of Washington; two brothers, Gail H. Reynolds of Monmouth, Ill., and Max Reynolds of Smithshire; a sister, Thelma Powell of McComb, Ill.; and a grandson, Robert Christopher Reintgen. SIMPSON - Friends of Reva Darlene Simpson of Washington, who died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Entombment in Forest Lawn Gardens Mausoleum, McMurray. The family suggests memorials be made to Donnell House, Washington.
