Edythe M. Schrader, 77, of Washington, died Saturday, March 6, 2004, in
the Washington Hospital. She had been in declining health. She was
born on December 16, 1926 in Washington, PA, a daughter of Glenn and
Sylvia Mounts Sprowls. Mrs. Schrader was once a member of East
Buffalo Presbyterian Church, and was a member of West
Washington United Methodist Church. She worked for 5 years at Sears in
catalog sales. Mrs. Schrader was a 1944 graduate of Trinity High
School. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and classic movies. On
February 14, 1968, she married John A. (Jack) Schrader, who died on
April 12, 2000. Surviving are a son, David N. Seaman of Los Angeles,
California; two daughters, Katherine Clift of Elyra, Ohio and Karen Ely
of Kettering, Ohio; two brothers, Gaylord (Cub) Sprowls and Wayne
Sprowls of Washington, PA; three sisters, Marguerite Boyle of Elyra,
Ohio; Laura McDowell of Washington, PA and Shirley Chambers of
Claysville, PA; four grandchildren, Todd Ely, DeeAnn Stawicki, Denise
Clift and Jeff Baker; and five great grandchildren. Deceased are a
sister, Joann Martin, and three brothers, Glenn R., William and Donald
Sprowls.
At the request of the deceased, no public visitation will be held.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in
Claysville Cemetery. In lieu
of flowers, the family requests donations are to be made to Thomas Campbell Christian
