Anna Veronica Patocka

Anna Veronica Patocka, 70, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, January 22, 2005, in Manor Care Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington on January 9, 1935, a daughter of Rocco C. and Mary Graff Prodo. After graduating from Immaculate Conception High School in 1952, and later from Penn Commercial, she worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in the office. She attended both Immaculate Conception and St. Hilary Roman Catholic Churches in Washington. Surviving are a son, Todd M. Patocka; her longtime companion and best friend, Allen "Smitty" Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are three brothers, Peter Prodo, Joe and Sam Columbus; two sisters, Josephine Urbanic and Rose Columbus. Friends of Anna Veronica Patocka, 70, formerly of Washington, who died Saturday, January 22, 2005, will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 25, 2005, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
