Ruth Virginia Lovejoy

Member of Banetown Baptist Church Ruth Virginia Lovejoy, 90, of Washington, died at 12:44 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2004, in Washington Hospital. She was born March 16, 1913, in Arden, W.Va., a daughter of John H. and Rebecca Moore Brown. Mrs. Lovejoy was a packer-selecter at Hazel Atlas Glass Plant No. 2. She was a member of the former Banetown Baptist Church. Mrs. Lovejoy enjoyed cooking, crocheting and her cats and dogs. In 1968, she married Clyde H. Lovejoy, who died May 6, 1981. Surviving are two grandchildren, John Voyles and Laura Prigg, both of Washington; and five great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Eugene Voyles; four brothers, Roy, Frank, Carl and George Ray Brown; and a great-granddaughter, Cheryl Prigg. LOVEJOY - Friends of Ruth Virginia Lovejoy of Washington, who died Wednesday, February 18, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 until 8 p.m., the hour of service, Friday, February 20, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
