Mary Elizabeth Clutter, 64, of Washington, died Monday, August 11, 2008, in Washington County Health Center, following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 26, 1943, in Washington, a daughter of Harold Richard and Rosie Bell Naylor Garrett.
Mrs. Clutter was a graduate of McGuffey High School and worked as a seamstress at Bobbie Brooks for several years.
Mrs. Clutter’s faith was Christian. She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Michelle R. Clark (Albert Wrubleski), of Washington; three brothers, Harold R. (Joan) Garrett, Jr., of Valley Grove, WV, Robert (Gerrie) Garrett, of Claysville, John (Linda) Garrett, of West Finley; two sisters, Juanita (Lindsay) Main, of Montgomery, Alabama, and Betty (Bill) Postgate, of Phoenix, Arizona.; a grandson, Brandon (Ashley Carriker) Vorhes; two great grandchildren, Gavin Vorhes and Gracynne Vorhes; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Shirley Ann Garrett.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the hour of the service, Thursday, August 14, 2008, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
