Frank M. Schaffold, 58, of Washington, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 in his residence.
He was born December 12, 1949, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late William G. and Patricia M. Williams Schaffold.
Mr. Schaffold was a graduate of Langley High School. He served in the United States Army from January 15, 1968 until his honorable discharge as a Specialist, Fourth Class, on August 17, 1970. His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with two overseas bars, Army Commendation Medal, and M-14 Sharpshooters award.
He was vice president of operations at G.W. Peoples.
Mr. Schaffold enjoyed yard work and landscaping, and was an avid Steelers fan.
On February 14, 1981, he married Sharon A. Burford, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Stephen Schaffold of Los Angeles, California, and Matthew Schaffold of Washington; and two sisters, Carol Sutey of McKees Rocks and Mary Jane Schaffold of Pittsburgh.
Deceased is a brother, Richard G. Schaffold.
Friends will be received Tuesday, July 22, 2008, from 4 to 7 p.m., the hour of a memorial service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Serenity Farms, 70 Serenity Farms Road, Hickory PA 15340.
