Dorothy June Standiford

Member of Fairhill Manor Christian Church Dorothy June Standiford, 84, of Washington, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born October 1, 1923, in Washington, a daughter of Willis and Lucille Tarbert McBratney. Mrs. Standiford was a member of Fairhill Manor Christian Church and Washington Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing and painting and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. On January 31, 1947, she married Kenneth E. Standiford, who died August 23, 1992. Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen B. Standiford of Washington and Dorothy A. Brownlee of Moundsville, W.Va., and three grandchildren, Allison (Bill) Mayer, the Rev. Andrea Brownlee and Benjamin Brownlee. At the request of the family, all visitation and services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Washington City Mission.
