Virginia Clutter Grudi, 77, of Washington, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 13, 2005, in Donnell House, Washington, following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 7, 1927, in Washington, a daughter of Laura Clutter. She was raised by her adoptive parents, William Eric and Lyda G. Clutter.
Mrs. Grudi was employed in sales in various Washington area stores for 32 years.
She was a lifetime and active member of Washington Hospital Auxiliary and was chairwoman of Junior Auxiliary for 16 years.
Mrs. Grudi enjoyed crafts and flea markets.
Her husband, William J. (Bill) Davis, survives.
Also surviving are three sons, William (Bill) and wife Denise Grudi, Robert "Shorty" and wife Margaret Grudi, and Michael Grudi, all of Washington; a daughter, Nancy Borres of South Park; a sister, Margaret Martin of Washington; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
On February 14, 1955, she married Frank Grudi, who died December 25, 1969.
Also deceased are two sons, Richard Stolfer, who was a Vietnam veteran, and Frank "Doodles" Grudi; and a sister, Carol Clutter.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the hour of services, Tuesday, March 15, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Inc., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev.
