Cathy A. Ross, 51, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 19, 2005, in her home. She was born in Washington on September 4, 1953, a daughter of the late James L. and Betty J. Glantzer Ross.
She was a 1971 graduate of Trinity High School and had attended both West Liberty College and Washington and Jefferson College. Prior to her retirement this past February, she had worked more than 31 years at Jessop Steel, later known as Allegheny Ludlum during which time she held various positions having retired just this past February.
Miss. Ross was a member and past Matron in the Washington Chapter Order of Eastern Star, a member of the National Pike Chapter D.A.R., and was about to move and begin volunteer work at Auburn University with the Southeastern Raptor Center, training the large birds of Prey.
Surviving are a sister, Carol E. Crawford of Beaver; and a nephew, Mark J. Girty ( his wife Claudia ) stationed at the Dover Air Force Base.
Friends of Cathy A. Ross, 51, of Washington, who died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 19, 2005, will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2005, at 11:00 am. The family requests memorial donations be made to:
