Employed by Black Top Paving. Thomas P. "Sonny" Murray, 65, of Washington, died Wednesday, February 23, 2005, in Donnell House, Washington, following a one-year illness. He was born June 8, 1939, in Washington, a son of Thomas Guy and Margaret Martha Ruse Murray. Mr. Murray was employed by Black Top Paving and was a member of Slovak and Pulaski clubs. He enjoyed fishing. On August 26, 1961, he married Doris Jean Garrison, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Kimberly Jean Murray Branco of Washington; four brothers, Richard Murray of Utah, William Murray of Richeyville, Charles Murray of Bridgeville and Robert Murray of Fredericktown; a sister, Alice Murray of Washington; and two grandchildren, Jeremy and Joseph Branco. Deceased are 2 sisters, Catherine Sewasky and Marion Sampson; and a brother, John Murray. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 28, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery.
