Lloyd David Hatfield, 77, of Washington, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, in Kade Nursing Home, Washington.
He was born November 18, 1930, in Banetown, a son of Fred W. Hatfield and Alice M. Thomas.
Mr. Hatfield was a builder and a member of Local 28C.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Washington.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Hatfield was a recipient of the United States Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal with two bronze stars and the National Defense Service Medal.
He enjoyed going to The Meadows and gardening.
On May 15, 1960, he married Eleanor Davis, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Alice Lynn (Duane) Loar of Breezy Heights and Cindy M. (Fermine) Hernadaz of North Carolina; a son, Eugene G. (Debra) Hatfield of Lincoln Hill; a brother, Kenneth A. Hatfield of Banetown; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Inc. Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, with the Rev. Steven Dunlap officiating.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, Peters Township.
