Mary Ann Elias

Mary Ann Elias, 82, of Washington, died Thursday, October 2, 2008, in her residence. She was born January 1, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of Frank and Frances Zaccari Gualteri. Mrs. Elias worked as a packer and painter at Hazel Atlas. She was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. On January 3, 1950, she married David Elias, who died May 22, 1976. Surviving are a son, David M. Elias, and his wife, Debbie, of Washington; two daughters, Patricia A. Elias of Washington, with whom she lived, and Marlene F. Thomas and husband Robert of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Dominick Gualteri of Washington; three grandchildren, Amber Marie Elias, Derek Michael (Amanda) Thomas, and Travis Alan (Jenni) Thomas. Deceased are five brothers, Albert, Frank, Russell, Sam and Tony Gualteri; and two sisters, twins Josephine and Julie Gualteri, and Thelma Graham. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4th, with Father Thomas D. O’Neil officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington PA 15301.
