Rose Ann Ferry

Rose Ann Ferry, 87, of Canton Township, died at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2007, in Humber Lane Health Care Center, following a lengthy illness. She was born November 2, 1919, in Washington, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Gallo Desmond. Mrs. Ferry attended Washington schools and worked at Clay Targets and as a packer at Tygart Valley Glass. She was a member of Friendship Community Church and Washington Senior Citizens, and enjoyed yard work and baking. On December 25, 1947, she married Ralph Ferry, who died November 8, 1958. Surviving are a son, Ralph E. (Paula) Ferry of Washington; one brother, Joseph Desmond of Washington; two sisters, Mary L. Romano and Thelma DeRose, both of Washington; and a grandchild, Michelle Renee Ferry. Deceased are a sister, Katherine Jones; and four brothers, Louis, Anthony, Samuel and Pete Desmond. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007, with Rev. Floyd Marasco officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
