Albert Wayne Plants, 59, of Washington, died Tuesday, August 26, 2008, in The Washington Hospital.
He was born February 7, 1949, in Washington, a son of Catherine P. Crouser Plants of Washington and the late John Kelly Plants.
Mr. Plants was a mill worker at Dynamet Corporation for 28 years.
He enjoyed his family and grandchildren, sports, and was a huge Steelers fan.
Mr. Plants was a member of the Arms Club and a former member of L.O.O. M. #22.
He was Methodist.
On August 29, 1969, he married Debra Weaver, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Robert Wayne (Bridgette) Plants of West Alexander, Christopher S. (Shannon) Plants of Marianna, and Jonathan Winston (Carrie) Plants of Shadyside, Ohio; two brothers, John Kelley (Patty) Plants, Jr. of Washington, and Albert’s twin, Robert E. (Marilyn) Plants of Washington; six grandchildren, Robbie, Katie, Dillan, Aaron, Tyler and Madison.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Saturday, August 30, 2008, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
