M. Frances Shearer

M. Frances Shearer, 95, OF Washington, died Saturday, February 14, 2004, in the Washington County Health Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington on August 4, 1908, a daughter of Willard and Lydia Mae Prall Supler. Miss. Shearer had worked more than twenty-five years as a sales clerk at Lang’s on Main Street. She once served as an officer atthe Keystone Club. Surviving are a brother, Martin D. Supler of Washington; four nephews, David Strawn of Independence, Missouri, Richard Strawn of Washington, W. Gene Mercer, of Washington, and John M. Mercer of Springfield, Virginia. Miss. Shearer is preceded in death by two sisters, Matilda Ellen “ Tillie “ Mercer ( her twin), and Florence Strawn. Friends of M. Frances Shearer, will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at 11:00 AM, Rev. C. D. Croscott officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
