Nicholas Kuzy, 94, 0f Washington, died on Monday, February 2, 2004 in the Washington Hospital. He was born in Manifold on December 17, 1909 a son of Andrew and Anastasia Karaman Kuzy. Mr. Kuzy was a Mould Maker and had worked at Hazel Atlas, Continental Can, Metro Glass and last for Ball Glass Corporation. He was formerly a member of the Moose and the Alpine Club.
On September 2, 1935 he married Agnes I. Kuba who died on October 19, 1996. Surviving are a son, Nicholas A. Kuzy of Bethel Park; a daughter Joanne Martini of Canonsburg; two sisters, Helen Beverina and Mary Balog both of Washington; seven grandchildren, Stacy Sue Rosello, Mark Martini, David Kuzy,, Lisa Allen, Nicholas Kuzy, Autumn Kuzy, and Gregory Kuzy; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding Mr. Kuzy in death are two brothers, Frank and John Kuzy as well as a sister Julia who died as an infant.
Friends of Nicholas Kuzy, 94, of Washington will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM on Thursday in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, February 6, 2004 at 9:00 AM and a mass will be celebrated immediately following at St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 166 East College Street, Canonsburg, Rev. Joseph Jugan celebrant. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church.
