Mona Louise Brahs

Mona Louise Brahs, 74, of Richhill Township, Greene County, formerly of Washington, died unexpectedly, Sunday, February 17, 2008, in her residence. She was born May 2, 1933, in Washington, a daughter of Carl and Mary Phillips Nystrom. Mrs. Brahs was a licensed practical nurse and homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting. On September 15, 1954, she married Robert A. Brahs, Jr., who died December 11, 2005. Surviving are a son, Robert A. Brahs, III, of Slippery Rock; a daughter, Carla Blackhurst of Washington; one brother, Dennis Nystrom of Rochester, New York; and a grandchild, Kelly Blackhurst. Deceased is a sister, Ruth Boswell. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
