Mary Theresa Capo, 81, of Washington, died Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at the Regency Hospital in Barberton, Ohio. She was born on August 27, 1922 in Brownsville, PA, a daughter of George and Mary Gshinsky. Mrs. Capo had been a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a member of the Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 Ladies Auxiliary and of the Polish Roman Catholic Lodge. She was a graduate of Trinity High School. On August 17, 1943, she married Mero Joseph Capo, who died on October 3, 2003. Surviving are a son, Denis A. Capo of North Canton, Ohio, a daughter, Sharon Adams of Washington, PA, a sister, Ann Snyder of Pittsburgh, PA , seven grandchildren, Jeannine Romano, Mero J. Capo, III, Christina Capo Yant, Melissa Capo, Denis A. Capo, Jr., Steven Capo and Jennifer Adams; and ten great grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Mero J. Capo, Jr., two brothers, John and Stanley Gshinsky; and three sisters, Elizabeth Vetell, Sally Gshinsky and Alice Gshinsky.
Friends of Mary Theresa Capo of Washington, who died Wednesday, February 4, 2004, will be received from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden St, Washington, PA. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2004, with Father Nicholas Spirko as celebrant. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
