Dorothy A. Gratz

Manager at Troutman's Dorothy A. Gratz, 74, of Washington, died Friday, February 6, 2004, in Washington Hospital. She was born November 25, 1929, in Washington, a daughter of Andrew and Wilda Hamilton Parsons. Mrs. Gratz worked as a clerk at Troutman's department store and a manager at Leeds Ice Cream in the former Franklin Mall. On December 20, 1947, she married Charles (Bob) Edward Gratz, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Emery of Eighty Four and Debi Marshall of Washington; a brother, Charles "Chick" Parsons of Washington; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Jimmie, and Tyler Emery, Donnie, Steven, and Julie Gratz, Tiffany and Heather Marshall; and one great-grandchild. Deceased are a son, Jacky Arnold Gratz; a brother, Andrew Parsons; and two sisters, Ruth Thomas and Nellie Elliot Loar. GRATZ - Friends of Dorothy A. Gratz of Washington, who died Friday February 6, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, February 9. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery.
