Patricia Lucy Salomonsen, 54, of Washington, died Friday, March 4, 2005, in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Oakland. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 10, 1951, a daughter of Fred Pescatore of Effort, Pennsylvania, and the late Lucy DiCaprio. Mrs. Salomonsen was a graduate of St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing in Staten Island and had worked more than thirty years as a registered nurse, most recently at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem.
She had coached various youth sports in the past and was a Woman’s Advocate in the fight against Domestic Violence.
On August 26, 1974, she married Andrew Salomonsen, who died July 18, 1985.
Surviving are two sons, Kristopher Salomonsen of McDonald and Steven Salomonsen of Washington, with whom she made her home; two daughters, Tricia Salomonsen of Lauri Station, Pennsylvania and Sandra Salomonsen of East Stroudsburg; a brother, Fred Pescatore, Jr., of New York, New York; and a sister, Barbara Gonsalves of Effort, Pennsylvania.
She is preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Salomonsen.
