Leora Rosland Reese Armstrong

Leora R. Armstrong, 64, of Washington, died Friday, April 8, 2005, in the Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington on January 17, 1940, a daughter of the late Earl and Mary Mancini Reese. Mrs. Reese was a graduate of Claysville High School and a member of the North Buffalo United Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing dart ball and played for the Moose Lodge # 22, Washington, of which she was a member of the Ladies of the Moose. Additionally, she was a member of the Taylorstown Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Jessop Club. On March 6, 1961, she married Duane Armstrong, who survives. Also surviving are three brothers, William Reese, Earl Reese, and John Reese, all of Washington; two sisters, Deanna Lesneski and Kathy Huff, both of Washington; and nineteen nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a son, Dale Clark Armstrong. Friends of Leora R. Armstrong, 64, of Washington, who died Friday, April 8, 2005, will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, the time of services , in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Private interment will follow in North Buffalo Church Cemetery.
