Washington farmer, member of Wolf Pack Motorcycle Club
Hazel Cleo Mollohan McCauley, 82, of Washington, died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2004, in the home of her son, Joseph H. "Sonny" Miller. She had been ill since 1999.
She was born September 6, 1921, in Sleith, W.Va., a daughter of Peyton and Pina Ramsey Mollohan.
Mrs. McCauley was Protestant and was a farmer on her own farm.
She was a member of Wagon Train, Tri-State Steam Engine Show, Wolf Pack Motorcycle Club, Horse and Mule Association, Frazier Simplex Rifle Club and State Line Saddle Club.
She enjoyed exhibiting at the Washington County fair.
On September 15, 1939, she married Francis McCauley Sr., who died May 3, 1981.
Surviving, in addition to her son, are a sister, Glenna L. Kelley of Fairmont, W.Va.; a niece; four grandchildren, Frances Jean Watson, John Thomas and Michael Ray McCauley and Victor Miller; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Francis McCauley Jr.
McCAULEY - Friends of Hazel Cleo Mollohan McCauley, 82, of Washington, who died Wednesday, January 28, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 2, with the Rev. Fred Helmick officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
