Lifetime member of Third United Presbyterian Church
Darlene Taggart, 62, of Lagonda Road, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 31, 2004, in her home.
She was born September 23, 1941, in Washington, a daughter of Helen Crowe McKay of Washington and the late Morgan Charles McKay.
Mrs. Taggart was a graduate of Washington High School.
She had worked for Gwen's Daycare in Washington and was a lifetime member of Third United Presbyterian Church in Washington, where she taught Sunday school for more than 20 years.
On October 1, 1961, she married Lee G. Taggart, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, James L. Taggart of Washington; three daughters, Bethann Frank and Lesa McCartney, both of Washington, and Amy S. Cole of Slidell, La.; a sister, Karen Brice of Washington; and nine grandchildren, Mindy, Ashley and Michael Frank, Angelica, Courtney and Jamie Taggart, Ronald and Brian McCartney and Kaitlyn Cole.
A brother, David McKay, is deceased.
TAGGART - Friends of Darlene Taggart of Lagonda Road, who died Saturday, January 31, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, with the Rev. Lesley Shoup officiating. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. The family requests donations be made to Third United Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, Cortez Drive, Washington.
