Bryner, 98, of Claysville, died at 6:45 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2004, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington, following a brief illness. She was born February 19, 1905, in Buffalo Township, a daughter of Emmit and Margaret Chase Wolfe. Mrs. Bryner attended Washington High School. She had been employed by G.C. Murphy Co. Mrs. Bryner was a member of Church of the Nazarene and had attended Wesleyan Methodist Church. She taught Sunday school and was president of the missionary society. She enjoyed flowers, reading and bird-watching. On January 31, 1922, she married to John Henry Bryner, who died July 6, 1990. Surviving are four sons, John H. Bryner Jr. of Roland, Iowa, Gene P. Bryner of Anchorage, Alaska, Andrew L. Bryner of Winchester, Ind., and Phillip M. Bryner of Severn, Md.; five daughters, Dorothy Slick of Los Angeles, Calif., Carol Mace of Claysville, Merrylin Meeks of Aurora, Colo., Iris J. Woods of Londonderry, N.H., and Daunice J. Norris of Ashland City, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Deceased are a grandson, Mickey Slick, and a brother, George Wolfe. BRYNER - Friends of Marjorie L. Bryner of Claysville, who died Friday, January 23, 2004, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, with the Rev. David R. Price officiating. Interment will be held in Claysville Cemetery.
