Rose Johns

Rose Anna Johns, 87, of Washington died on Saturday, December 20, 2003 after a short illness. She was born in on July 29, 1916 a daughter of Charles and Anna Anderson. Mrs. Johns was a home maker. She had once attended North Buffalo Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed knitting and frequently knitted unique gifts for family. She had attended Washington High School. On October 12, 1935 she married Howard L. Johns who died in 1987. She is survived by a daughter Joyce Rice with whom she made her home, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are a daughter Kathryn Walbeck; five brothers, Charles Jr., William, Walter, Albert, and Fred Anderson; three sisters, Mildred Fordyce, Mary Cox, and Kathryn Anderson. Friends of Rose Anna Johns of Washington, who died Saturday, December 20, 2003 will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Monday in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington where services will be held on Tuesday,December 23, 2003, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Edward Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
