Mary Frances Gregor, 92, of Washington, died Monday, December 22, 2003 in the Beverly Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was born on October 1, 1911 in Mahanoy City, PA, a daughter of John Peter and Nellie Cornelia Lawlor Weber. After graduating from Mahanoy Public Schools she completed her under graduate studies at Millersville Teachers College and her Graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Gregor had taught school in Mahanoy Township for fourteen years and later in the Philadelphia School District for more than twenty-five years prior to retirement. She is Roman Catholic by faith.
In 1946 she married John Gregor who died in September, 1980.
Surviving are a son, John Gregor of Washington; a sister Catherine O’Brien of Drexel Hill; three grandchildren, John, Briana, and Joelle Gregor.
Preceding her in death are two brothers, James and Joseph Weber; three sisters, Monica Tolan, Helen Weber, and Theresa Weber.
Friends of Mary Frances Gregor who died on Monday, December 22, 2003 will be received on Saturday from 9 to 10 AM in the Haughney Funeral Home, 101 East Mahanoy City, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 27, 2003, at 10:30 AM in St. Canicus Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, Rev. William Glosser the celebrant.
