Gail "Pooch" Francis Hinerman

Golfer worked for Ross Mould. Gail Francis "Pooch" Hinerman, 59, of Washington, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 10, 2005, on the 11th hole of Nemacolin Country Club. He was born October 24, 1945, in Washington, a son of the late James Edwin and Louise Wilson Hinerman. Mr. Hinerman was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School and a member of Hickory United Presbyterian Church. He was employed by Ross Mould as a mould maker for 18 years and prior to that worked for Crile Machine for 21 years. Mr. Hinerman loved golf and golfed almost every day. His final golfing partner was Boo Stough. He was up by six strokes when he died. He represented two teams in the Pavella Cup, one in Highland Springs and also Indian Run and was a member of Lone Pine Country Club. Mr. Hinerman was an avid Wash High fan of all sports. He did the sticks for football for 15 years and attended all sporting events. He had a lot of "Prexie Pride." He coached Brownson House basketball and umpired youth baseball. Mr. Hinerman was a wonderful husband, a loving father and a devoted grandfather to his three grandsons. He also was a great friend to everyone he knew. On June 10, 1967, he married Sandra Ann Wozniak, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Scott Hinerman, and a daughter, Jodie Shrontz, both of Washington; four brothers, Bob Hinerman of Irvine, Calif., Jim and John Hinerman, both of Fairmont, W.Va., and Dave Hinerman of Washington; two sisters, Betty Doak of Washington and Twila Hawk of Fairmont; and three grandsons, Tanner and Turner Shrontz and Brad Lee Sanders. Friends and family will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hour of service, Thursday, July 14, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
