Donald Snyder, Sr., of Washington, formerly of Dagmar Avenue, Beech View, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 18, 2005, in the Washington Hospital Emergency Room. He was born in Pittsburgh, on September 26, 1940, a son of Herbert Stewart and Evelyn Evans Snyder.
Mr. Snyder was Catholic. He had worked more than thirty-five years for Equitable Gas and his last capacity was that of District Crew Leader. He enjoyed cars. Mr. Snyder was a member of the F.O.P. From 1958 to 1961, he served in the United States Army, 2nd Observation Battalion, 25th Artillery, in Karlsruhe, Germany.
On July 28, 1962, he married Regina Louise Boyle who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Regis Snyder of Richeyville, and Donald Snyder, Jr., of Bridgeville; two daughters, Sharon Palfreyman of Washington, and Christine Porter of Carnegie; a brother, F. Stewart Snyder of Sewickley; eight grandchildren, Brittany, Natasha, Samantha, Lauren, Karissa, Chelsea, Jessica, and Michael..
Friends of Donald Snyder, Sr., of Washington, formerly of Dagmar Avenue, Beech View, who died Friday, March 18, 2005, will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at 10:00 am, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Washington. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
