Rose Kania Doak, 88, of Washington, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in the Washington Hospital. She had been in declining health. She was born May 29, 1920, in Westmoreland County, a daughter of John and Mary Yarnot Kania. Mrs. Doak worked at Union Camp for 35 years. She was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church, formerly Allison Avenue Baptist Church. On August 27, 1936, she married Clarence M. “Fat” Doak, who died October 29, 1983. Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis Ann Foringer of Washington and Patricia Davis of Weston, Ohio; five grandchildren, Dennis Foringer, Deborah Foringer, Brenda Foringer, Kirk Davis and Kent Davis; four great grandchildren, Christopher, Tiffany, Tricia and K.J.; and two great-great grandchildren, Alexis and Kaylee. Deceased are three brothers, Joseph, Charles and Ed Kania; and two sisters, Ann Ohs and Jennie Jubas. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16th, with Rev. George Garancosky officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Albert Gallatin Hospice, 275 Meadowlands Boulevard, Washington PA 15301.
