Sherry Hays

Sherry Hays, 48. Of Washington, died on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 8:25 a.m., at the Washington Hospital, after an 11-year illness. She was born August 10, 1959, in Beaver Falls, a daughter of Carl and Margaret Harrington McCartney. Ms. Hays was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church, and worked as a CNA at Doctor’s Home Health for several years. She was a 1977 graduate of Trinity High School. Sherry was a loving and caring person. Surviving are 2 sons, Joshua Hays, of Washington, and Jaron Hays, of Landstuhl, Germany; a daughter, Amber Hays, of Washington; 2 brothers, Richard McCartney and Carl McCartney, Jr., both of Washington; and a grandchild, Freedom Greely. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008, with Rev. Edward Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens. Family requests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006.
