Joanne Mary Grabowski

Joanne Mary Grabowski, 67, of Washington, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born October 9, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of Joseph and Anna Mary Bell Grabowski. Mrs. Grabowski was a 1958 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and attended Mc Fall Beauty School in Canonsburg. She enjoyed her dogs and cats, her family, and hair styling. For thirty-three years, she worked at Washington County Health Center, as a nurse’s aide and unit secretary. Mrs. Grabowski was Catholic by faith. Surviving are a daughter, Becky (Ed Wiszczor) Schwering and a grandson, William (Amanda) Schwering III. Deceased is a brother, John Charles Grabowski. Friends will be received 2 to 9 p.m., Thursday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m, Friday, August 8, 2008. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Humane Society, 1527 Route 136, Eighty-Four, PA 15330.
