Ceramic teacher at Thomas Campbell Apartments
Linda Darlene Kosek Garrett, 59, of Washington, died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2002, in her home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 20, 1943, in Washington, a daughter of Goldie Woods Mounts Taylor of Washington and the late Harold Mounts.
Mrs. Garrett attended Washington High School.
She was a member of West Washington Methodist Church.
Mrs. Garrett had been employed by Thomas Campbell Apartments as a ceramic teacher and many years ago was employed by Brockway Glass Plant No. 1.
On June 10, 1988, she married David Scott Garrett, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, John Leonard Kosek Jr. of Washington; two daughters, Robin Dunn of Washington and Leanna Conte of Washington; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Tammy Joy Kosek; and a brother, Edward Mounts.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions to American Lung Association. Arrangements by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., Washington.
