Roseann Gibbs, 47, of Washington, died at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2002, in her home, following a three-year illness.
She was born February 16, 1955, in Beaver County, a daughter of the late Ronald and Violet Padgett Clark.
Miss Gibbs attended Beaver Falls High School, graduated from Miami Jackson High School and attended Miami Dade Junior College, both in Florida, as well as California University of Pennsylvania.
She was a member of Church of Christ of Washington.
Miss Gibbs was a facilitator of support groups and was employed by the Turning Point in Washington, which played a very important part in her life.
Her caregiver was Cathy Murphy of Belle Vernon.
Surviving are four brothers, Sandy Padgett of San Francisco, Calif., Richard Gibbs of Aliquippa, Brian Gibbs of Wellsville, Ohio, and Harry Gibbs of Ambridge; two sisters, Pamela Townsend of Ambridge and Bonnie Gibbs of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addtion to her parents, are a son, Brandon Gibbs, who died in a house fire in November 1997; a sister, Johnnie Belinda Gibbs; and a brother, Ronald Gibbs.
GIBBS - Friends of Roseann Gibbs of Washington, who died Thursday, August 22, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, followed by a memorial service in William Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with John Wright officiating. Additional visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Will T. Leavell Funeral Home Inc., 721 Seventh Street, Beaver Falls, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 26, with John Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery and Memorial Park.
