Arms Club bartender was W&J graduate
William Eugene Davis, 45, of Washington, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2002, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh. He had been ill since February.
He was born January 14, 1957, in Washington, a son of William O. Davis of Washington and the late Ruth Nancydel DeBolt Davis.
Mr. Davis attended West Washington United Methodist Church.
He was a 1975 graduate of Trinity High School and a 1979 graduate of Washington & Jefferson College
Mr. Davis was employed as a bartender at the Arms Club.
He was a member and past governor of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 22, a member of Sunset Lodge 623 F&AM and the Arms Club and a social member of Hawkins Post Home 927 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are two daughters, Christine Lynn Davis of Washington and Michele Lee Davis of Mt. Washington; a sister, Tula Hickman of Washington; and three grandchildren, Tiffany Jo, Lindsay Nicole and Jacob Thomas.
DAVIS - Friends of William Eugene Davis of Washington, who died Friday, August 23, 2002, will be received from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held Monday, August 26, at a time to be announced. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 22 will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Loyal Order of Moose, Moose International, Mooseheart, IL 60539-1182.
