Agnes Flynn Lauther

Longtime glassworker was member of IC Church Agnes Flynn Lauther, 86, of Washington, died at 2:12 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2002, in Washington Hospital following a two-year illness. She was born May 27, 1916, in Washington, a daughter of James Francis and Elizabeth Conley Flynn. Mrs. Lauther was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, where she was a member of its Christian Mothers. She was employed for more than 36 years at Hazel-Atlas Glass Plant 1 in the packing room. Mrs. Lauther was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175 of Washington, Senior Citizens, AARP and GPPAW Retirees Club. On August 31, 1950, she married Edgar K. "Lefty" Lauther, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Williams of Lakewood, Colo.; a sister, Mary Funa of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Michael R. and Harry T. "Huck" Flynn; and two sisters, Frances Grace and Genevieve Hannen. LAUTHER - Friends of Agnes Flynn Lauther of Washington, who died Saturday, August 31, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, followed by interment in Washington Cemetery.
